Gold Sponsor of Farndon Soapbox Derby
Northwest Farndon Soapbox Derby 2025

FARNDON, UK – Northwest Contractors, a leading company of electricians, proudly served as a Gold Sponsor of the exhilarating Farndon Soapbox Derby. The event, which took place on Sunday, September 14th, was a fantastic success that drew in a large and enthusiastic crowd to witness the spectacle. And, more importantly, to contribute to a noble cause.

The funds raised from the day will provide crucial support for the Hospice of The Good Shepherd and other important local community projects. Our team’s participation really highlighted our dedication to giving back to the community that has been instrumental in our success and growth.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, the Farndon Soapbox Derby is a beloved local event, known for its fun, festive and slightly chaotic energy as a wide array of homemade soapboxes race down the course. This year’s derby was particularly special, with a record number of participants and attendees, all united in their support for a common good. For us at Northwest Contractors, the event was a perfect opportunity to not only contribute financially but also to actively participate and show our team spirit. So attending on behalf of the company were Directors James and Joe Fitzpatrick and our engineer, Tommy Rimmer.

During the day, Director James shared his immense pride in the Northwest Contractor’s sponsorship. He mentioned,

“Being a Gold Sponsor for the Farndon Soapbox Derby was a perfect fit for us at Northwest Contractors. It’s a fantastic, family-friendly event that brings everyone together for a great cause. And with the Hospice of The Good Shepherd doing incredible work to provide care and support to people when they need it most. Well, it’s an honour for us to be a part of an event that helps them continue their mission.”

Our team spent the day mingling with the crowd, taking in the creative soapbox designs and enjoying the atmosphere of friendly competition. The event provided an excellent informal setting for the team to connect with potential clients and other local businesses. Director Joe also spoke about his experience, “It was great to be a part of the day. You could feel the positive energy from everyone. It’s inspiring to see so many people come together to support such a deserving charity.”

The success of the derby is a testament to the collective power of local businesses and individuals working together for a charitable purpose. The Hospice of The Good Shepherd will be able to put the funds raised in this event to continue their crucial work in providing comfort and care to people with life-limiting illnesses. So, did you know that you can still get involved?!
